The library has created modules that any SC4 instructor can import into their Canvas course. Students can get 24/7 support from a librarian, search the library collections, including an A-Z list of databases, and access all library services, right from within Canvas. These modules are intended to provide students with an easy point of access for using SC4 Library resources in their online courses.
To locate and add an SC4 Library module to your course, log into Canvas and navigate to Canvas Commons.
In the search bar, type 'sc4' or 'sc4 library' to find the list of available modules.
Select a module to preview.
Once you've decided on a module, Select 'Import/Download'. Select one (or more) courses, then 'Import into Course'
Now, go to your course, click on the Modules tab, and the SC4 Library module that you've imported should appear at the bottom of the list of course modules.
Publish the module to make it available to students in your course
To view this module as your students will see it, while in your course, go to Settings -> Student View (or click Student view on the course home page) to preview
The library will create customized modules to meet the needs of any course. Contact an SC4 Librarian to get started.
