SC4 Librarians create subject specific content, worked with faculty to find resources for their courses, and created how-to guides to support students. All Library Research Guides can be embedded into courses in Canvas using LTI.
You can add library research guide content to an existing module, or create a separate module within Canvas to hold "library stuff"
Log into Canvas and navigate to your course.
Go to the Modules tab. If you are creating a Library module, select +Module
Name your module & add to your course
Select the + button to add content to the newly created module
From the dropdown list, choose External Tool
Select 'Lib Guides'
Change the name of the Lib Guides LTI item to something relevant to the content you plan to embed.
Click on the newly named item to search for a library guide to embed.
Choose 'Library research guides'
Choose a content type. (If you are embedding a course guide, you probably want "Full Libguide"). If you are unsure which option to choose, feel free to check w/ a librarian and we'll walk you through it.
Search for your course guide (or any other library content you may want to embed)
Choose embed content
Publish your module
Go to the student view to preview
Click the link to preview content
